About The Position
The Clinical Laboratory Assistant works under the general supervision of the laboratory section manager in support of Clinical Laboratory Scientists, Medical Technologists, and Technicians. The role performs duties in technical areas of the laboratory, including specimen handling, inventory, and maintenance, along with other assigned duties.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED; the posting also lists “ASSOCIATES” under education requirements.
- Proof of formal Phlebotomy or Medical Assistant training is required; annual recertification is not required.
Nice To Haves
- One year of phlebotomy/EKG experience is preferred.
- PBT (ASCP) certification is highly desirable.
Responsibilities
