About The Position

Sentara Medical Group is seeking to hire a Clinical Lab Assistant. This full-time, day shift position is located in Suffolk, VA. The role involves performing patient phlebotomy with excellent customer service, collecting, labeling, and processing patient specimens for testing, handling registration and test data entry, and monitoring supply levels.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Completion of a Phlebotomy Program or Course in lieu of 1 year experience in Phlebotomy
• BLS is required within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Performs patient phlebotomy while maintaining the highest level of customer service.
• Collects, labels, and processes patient specimens for testing.
• Responsible for registration and test data entry.
• Monitors supply levels.
