About The Position

This is a part-time, remote position for a Clinical Data Specialist responsible for the abstraction, analysis, investigation, reporting, and follow-up for quality indicators/measures from internal and external initiatives to improve patient care, processes of care, and outcomes. Methodist Southwest Medical Center is a 314-bed, full-service, acute care teaching hospital serving southwestern Dallas County. The hospital has undergone significant expansions and renovations, including an emergency department, intensive care unit, labor and delivery unit, and interventional radiology suite. It features a Level III Trauma Center, a Level II Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, and an Oncology Unit. The hospital is recognized for excellence in various medical specialties and strives for a diverse workforce.

Requirements

• Associate or Bachelor's degree, science emphasis or commensurate healthcare experience
• 3 – 5 years clinical experience preferable in general medical/surgical nursing or patient care; or 3-5 years experience as a healthcare professional

Nice To Haves

• CPHQ or other quality certification preferred
• Current license in the State of Texas as a registered or licensed vocational nurse preferred
