About The Position

The Data Abstractor retrieves charts from the Health Information Management Department according to established records procedures and coordinates all aspects of patient surveys, including distribution, data entry, report generation, and submission. The role accurately transmits data and generates reports and graphs in a timely manner while maintaining strict confidentiality of patient, employee, and department information. The Data Abstractor also assists with orientation and training, attends required or assigned meetings, prepares periodic reports as requested, and performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Basic Life Support Health Care Provider (BLS-HCP) certification required.
• Critical thinking skills and decisive judgment.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Ability to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

Nice To Haves

• Associate degree preferred.
• LPN preferred.
• Two years of related experience preferred.

Responsibilities
