About The Position

At Mia Aesthetics, the Clinical Assistant attends to patients before surgery and ensures relevant patient information is collected and recorded in preparation for surgery. The role supports patient preparation, documentation, communication about physician orders and surgery questions, and maintenance of a safe clinical environment.

Requirements

• High school diploma.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Hold and maintain an active Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish.

Responsibilities

• Verify patient information, including medical history and purpose of visit, by communicating with patients.
• Prepare patients for examination by performing preliminary physical tests and taking blood pressure, weight, and temperature.
• Record appropriate patient information on patient charts and/or Salesforce.
• Secure patient information and maintain patient confidence by completing and safeguarding medical records.
• Counsel patients by transmitting physician’s orders and addressing questions about surgery.
• Assist with preparation of charts, pre-admission forms, and consent forms.
• Maintain a safe, secure, and healthy work environment by establishing and following standards and procedures and complying with legal regulations.
• Maintain inventory of supplies as needed.
