About The Position

BJC Medical Group is hiring a full-time Clinical Triage Nurse for its OBGYN team in Sunset Hills. This outpatient role provides direct patient care in collaboration with providers and the care team, including assessing patients and developing and implementing care plans. The ambulatory RN also provides oversight and guidance to clinic staff and supports providers with daily patient management. The position is 40 hours per week on the day shift, with no call, weekends, or holidays. It is a safety-sensitive position requiring constant alertness and safe work practices.

Requirements

• Nursing diploma or associate degree in nursing.
• 2–5 years of experience.
• Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Nice To Haves

• OBGYN experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in nursing.
• 5–10 years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with primary care providers and specialists to develop and implement care plans that maximize health outcomes and support wellness, reviewing and updating plans according to department protocols.
• Assess and evaluate patients’ physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs using critical nursing skills.
• Ensure clinical protocols and patient assessment guidelines are followed in accordance with standard operating procedures and compliance guidelines.
• Support providers in documenting patient assessments and treatment protocols in accordance with compliance standards.
• Provide patient education and support through verbal and written instructions, assess patients’ and families’ ability to receive education, and use problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
• Provide oversight and guidance to clinical staff working in the clinic and support providers with daily patient management.
