About The Position
The Clinic Service Representative is the first point of contact for patients at Henry Ford Medical Center - Fraser, supporting a welcoming and smooth experience from check-in through check-out. The role supports patients and clinic staff by managing registration, insurance verification, and financial discussions. The clinic serves a diverse patient population in Macomb County.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to perform calculations, complete forms, and use computer information systems.
- Strong interpersonal skills for communicating effectively with diverse populations.
- Basic computer skills, including navigating software, using email, and logging in and out of systems.
- Dependable and punctual, with the ability to work within a team setting.

- Familiarity with a clinic environment.
- Experience working with detailed information and multitasking.
Responsibilities
- Greet and check in patients, ensuring accurate registration and insurance verification.
- Handle cash collections and discuss general financial responsibilities with patients.
- Reconcile patient charts and manage discharge processes efficiently.
- Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and medical staff in person and over the phone.
- Work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks and frequent interruptions.
