About The Position

The Clinic Director leads day-to-day clinic operations, supports clinical staff, helps ensure high-quality service delivery, and maintains communication with families. High-level clinical decisions—including review and approval of treatment plans, assessments, progress reports, and BIPs—remain the responsibility of the Chief Clinical Officer (CCO). The Clinic Director collaborates with the CCO and refers cases to the CCO when advanced consultation or program-level decisions are needed. The position also includes BCBA responsibilities: conducting functional assessments and developing behavior plans, maintaining client documentation and data, reviewing technician documentation, providing supervision, and completing 40 hours of work per week, including 15–20 billable hours.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor treatment integrity and program fidelity across sessions.
  • Coach and provide feedback to BCBAs on program implementation, data collection, and staff performance.
  • Support BCBAs with clinical problem-solving, client transitions, and programming adjustments; identify clinical-quality concerns and escalate them to the CCO.
  • Refer high-level clinical decisions to the CCO, including decisions about reducing clinical hours, discharge considerations, complex or high-risk cases, and approval of treatment plans, BIPs, or assessments.
  • Assist with new-client intakes, screenings, initial parent meetings, and coordination of start dates; collaborate with administrative staff to prepare clients for services and provide input on scheduling and case assignments.
  • Supervise BCBAs, RBTs, trainees, and BCBA candidates through observation, feedback, coaching, competency assessments, and clinical-performance support.
  • Lead professional development and team training, and support staff retention through mentorship and relationship-building.
  • Oversee daily clinic operations, schedules, rotations, and staff coverage; coordinate with the Clinical Coordinator to anticipate scheduling gaps and maintain clinic readiness.
  • Review staff hours, attendance patterns, and operational needs, and ensure timely completion of staff documentation and administrative responsibilities.
  • Conduct parent training, check-ins, and case updates; address family concerns and help families understand clinical processes while referring major treatment decisions to the CCO.
  • Represent SBC at community events, outreach initiatives, and workshops; communicate with external partners, schools, and other service providers.
  • Support coordination with SLP, OT, Feeding Therapy, and other disciplines.
  • Conduct functional assessments and create behavior plans that generalize to everyday environments.
  • Maintain accurate and organized client notes, data, and reports; review technicians’ documentation and data collection and provide feedback.
  • Complete documentation such as supervision summaries, program updates, and overlaps following direct and billable service hours.
  • Work 40 hours per week, including 15–20 billable hours per week, and maintain a supervision schedule that includes assessments, overlaps, team meetings, parent updates, and parent trainings.
  • Confer with ABA therapy staff and other health team members to exchange and evaluate patient information for treatment planning, modification, and coordination.
