About The Position

VCA Old Town Animal Hospital in Alexandria, Virginia, is seeking an experienced Client Service Representative to help deliver excellent service to clients and their pets. As the face of VCA, the Client Service Representative sets the tone for the practice and helps build and maintain client trust and confidence. The role is central to hospital operations and includes client service, appointment coordination, payment processing, product and service recommendations, records management, and maintaining a neat and clean facility. Compensation is $19–$24 per hour, based on experience. Benefits are available to eligible employees.

Requirements

• Experience as a Client Service Representative is requested.

Responsibilities

• Greet visitors, answer telephones, and guide clients and their pets to exam rooms.
• Schedule and confirm appointments.
• Make outbound follow-up calls and contact prospective clients.
• Present and explain fees and process payments.
• Recommend, select, and obtain products and services, including prescriptions.
• Answer questions about products and services and educate clients on general animal husbandry and non-medical pet care, such as heartworm prevention, housebreaking, and flea and tick control.
• Manage medical records, charts, reports, and correspondence.
• Help maintain the hospital, including removing animal waste, and ensure the facility is neat and clean inside and outside.
