About The Position

Holmes Murphy is hiring a Client Service Intern for its 10-week Summer 2027 internship program in Kansas City, Missouri. The internship offers hands-on exposure to the insurance industry through educational workshops and rotations through Brokerage Services teams, where available based on geography. The Client Service Team focuses on client retention and satisfaction. Interns will build communication skills through presentations, receive mentorship from industry experts and leaders, and take part in community activities and company culture. The position is onsite and paid.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled or pursuing enrollment at a four-year institution.
• Enthusiasm, motivation, curiosity, and eagerness to learn and contribute.

Nice To Haves

• Prior work experience, preferably in a customer service or administrative role.
• Majors or areas of study such as Business Administration, Finance, Sales, Entrepreneurship, Marketing, Health Promotion, or Risk Management & Insurance.

Responsibilities

• Assist in managing existing client relationships.
• Handle day-to-day service needs.
• Help ensure clients receive timely and accurate information.
• Assist sales and service teams with marketing new and renewal business, including gathering needed information.
• Assist sales and service teams with preparing and creating presentation materials.
• Attend client meetings.
• Support the sales team by delivering on agreements made during the sales process.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
