About The Position

Our 2027 Summer Internship Program is a paid 10-week learning experience where you will be immersed in the daily environment of a thriving global financial services company. You will gain invaluable industry and organizational knowledge through daily business interactions and job assignments, in addition to engaging in projects that directly affect our business, interact with senior leaders in conversational settings, and network with employees and interns across our offices. This 10-week internship provides you with realistic experiences and information of what it is like to work at Guardian. Internship Dates: The internship program will run from Thursday, May 27, 2027- Friday, August 6, 2027. We review applications on a rolling basis, and we encourage you to apply as soon as you are ready. The application window will close on Friday, November 13th, 2026, at 11:59PM ET or when role(s) have been filled, whichever comes first. You are: A current junior (graduation date of May 2028) who is fueled by collaboration, able to listen and make quick decisions and thrive in a goal-oriented environment. Location (Housing is not provided): Pittsfield, MA

Requirements

  • A course of study in mathematics, economics, a business-related discipline (such as finance, accounting, marketing, or management), or a related field
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships across teams to gather insights, navigate complexity, and support cross-functional initiatives
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with comfort working in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong attention to detail
  • A collaborative mindset, intellectual curiosity, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Applicants must be eligible to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship, now or in the future, for employment-based work authorization. F-1 visa holders with Optional Practical Training (OPT) who will require H-1B status, TNs, or current H-1B visa holders will not be considered. H1-B and green card sponsorship are not available for this position.
  • You must be available for the full program dates of the internship program.

Responsibilities

  • Support initiatives that simplify financial planning for advisors, helping newer representatives build confidence, engage clients earlier, and deliver planning solutions across client segments
  • Support projects and analyses that advance the goals of Client Solutions
  • Gather, organize, and analyze data to identify trends and inform recommendations
  • Prepare clear, well-structured deliverables such as summaries, presentations, and reports for team and leadership audiences
  • Collaborate across teams and build relationships while learning how the different areas of Client Solutions & Wealth Management work together to serve customers and grow the business
  • Explore and apply AI tools to improve research, analysis, and day-to-day work where appropriate
  • Have the opportunity to work and learn from supportive leaders, mentors, and team members across the organization who will help coach you as you develop your professional career
