About The Position

The Hylant Internship Program offers a summer journey designed to challenge and inspire participants, paving the way for success in the insurance industry. Interns will join a cohort of other talented individuals, gaining practical experience, building vital skills, and forging meaningful connections within the insurance industry. This program provides hands-on experience in insurance, professional growth, and networking opportunities in a top-rated workplace.

Requirements

• Rising junior, senior, or graduate-level standing at an accredited college or university, or graduated within the past seven months.
• Maintain an average GPA of 3.0 or higher.
• Ability to work from one of Hylant’s office locations nationwide.
• Availability to work from May 18-August 13, 2027, with some flexibility.
• Interest in a long-term career in insurance.
• Authorized to work for any U.S. employer; Hylant cannot provide H-1B visa sponsorship.

Nice To Haves

• Involvement in extracurricular activities and/or part-time job recommended.
• Major in Risk Management and Insurance, Sales, Accounting, Finance, Marketing, IT, Business, HR, or Communications preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with processing insurance applications or certificates of insurance.
• Organize and maintain client records and documentation.
• Help prepare reports, presentations, and summaries for internal use.
• Support data entry and database management for policy information.
• Help schedule appointments and follow-ups with clients or agents.
• Review insurance policies for accuracy and completeness.
• Conduct market research and analyze data.
• Shadow experienced account managers or service team members.
• Attend training sessions on insurance products, compliance, and systems.
• Take on projects that support the team where necessary.
