About The Position

Our 2027 Summer Internship Program runs for 9 weeks, starting on Monday, June 7th and finishing on Friday, August 6th. This internship is designed to give you a unique introduction to the Asset Management industry and offers valuable insight into how your chosen department operates within Schroders. We are only accepting applications from students in their Junior Year, graduating in 2028. Throughout the program you will: Take part in comprehensive introductory training to build your understanding of the business. Be assigned to a team where you will contribute to live projects and gain meaningful hands-on experience. Shadow experienced professionals and learn directly from leaders in the field. Have opportunities to network with colleagues and other interns, helping you build connections for your future career. This internship provides practical experience, skill development, and a strong foundation for those interested in pursuing a career in the Asset Management sector.

Requirements

• Be in your Junior Year, graduating in 2028.
• Have a good working knowledge of document production software, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to understand our target audiences.
• Genuine interest in asset management and current market trends, with the ability to discuss the impact of economic events on investments and form well-reasoned opinions on commercial or financial matters.
• Moderate understanding of finance, able to discuss macro-level topics with clients and articulate insights effectively.
• Acts as a self-starter who is driven and passionate, willingly takes initiative, and seeks out opportunities - evidenced by leading or launching projects, societies, or volunteering activities.
• Maintains composure and methodical thinking under pressure, balancing commitments and delivering results even in high-pressure environments.
• Confident, authentic communicator with strong written and verbal skills, able to adapt style to different audiences, present clearly, and build rapport - whether in person, over the phone, or in client-facing situations.
• Manages time, tasks, and expectations effectively, demonstrating event or project coordination skills, diary management, and successful use of organisational tools.
• Analytical and resourceful, quickly understands client issues, listens actively, and identifies practical, effective solutions using available tools and networks.
• Works well in teams, prioritises client needs, and develops strong, trust-based relationships with clients and colleagues, maintaining a professional network.

• We no longer accept applications from Seniors considering further studies (i.e. Masters) upon completion of undergraduate course.

Responsibilities

• Develop tailored investment offerings by analyzing market trends, reviewing competitor activity, and working alongside investment teams to create innovative solutions.
• Deliver local sales strategies and deepen client relationships, focusing on growth opportunities and ensuring high standards of client service across regions.
• Partner with technology and operations to drive efficient, data-driven processes, leveraging insights and tools to continuously enhance client engagement.
