About The Position

Lazard is a global financial advisory and asset management firm with a collaborative community of over 3,000 professionals. Our entrepreneurial culture fosters creative ideas and unique perspectives. The Sales teams engage investors to identify investment needs and explore how Lazard Asset Management (LAM) can meet them. This 10-week internship is designed for rising undergraduate seniors pursuing a career in Sales, specifically within the Institutional Client Group. Interns will gain a deep understanding of how the Institutional Client Group works with clients in the Americas, offering industry-leading products, advice, and service. The program includes role-specific training, mentorship, networking opportunities, engagement with employee resource groups like LEAD, and a final capstone project involving an innovative sales pitch or industry white paper.

Requirements

  • Rising undergraduate seniors graduating in 2028.
  • Ability to start internship June 7, 2027, and end August 13, 2027.
  • Ability to be in NYC for the duration of the internship.
  • Authorization to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
  • Consistent academic achievement.
  • Strong leadership skills.
  • Ability and desire to work in a collaborative environment.
  • Passion for markets and investing.
  • Exceptional organization and communication skills (written and oral).
  • Intellectually curious and willingness to learn.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task.

Nice To Haves

  • Intermediate use of Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Familiarity or experience with generative AI tools (e.g. ChatGPT, Copilot, Claude, or similar).

Responsibilities

  • Work with Institutional Client Group sales reps and associates to understand LAM's diverse client base and strategic products.
  • Research major industry trends to drive sales channel business.
  • Prioritize potential prospects based on firm strengths and client needs.
  • Assist Institutional Client Group associates with client requests.
  • Conduct analyses using internal and external research tools to deepen client relationships.
  • Update presentations for portfolio managers and sales representatives.
  • Perform competitive analysis using qualitative and quantitative metrics.
