About the position
The Senior Software Engineer at Digital Asset will be responsible for defining and applying solution design concerns for clients and partners. They will work directly with global and local clients to solve real-world problems and advance business-differentiating solutions. The Senior Software Engineer will need to be highly technically proficient in writing code in Daml and other languages such as Java, Scala, Haskell, F#, or Python. They must also have extensive client interaction experience and broad experience in production-based enterprise systems architecture and delivery. Expertise in hands-on software engineering on large-scale projects and proficiency in functional programming languages is a must.
Responsibilities
- Become an expert in applying Daml and our developer tools to identify and solve client workflow opportunities / problems with pragmatic and efficient code.
- Assist clients in their use of Daml models, development, and integrations.
- Lead technical aspects of client engagements, from documentation to discussions and demonstrations to execution of client mandates, incorporating best practices in Daml products, technical concepts, and design.
- Provide technical leadership to CX Engineer and partner resources aligned to client engagements and delivery excellence.
- Work closely with internal product and engineering teams to provide feedback from customer delivery experience as well as assess new products and features for use in client engagements.
- Influence our Daml product roadmap based on client feedback and market trends.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful implementation and delivery of client solutions.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in blockchain technology and smart contracts.
- Continuously improve and enhance the Daml platform and developer tools.
- Contribute to the growth and development of the CX Team and Digital Asset as a whole.
Requirements
- Must reside in the New York City tri-state area and have access to commute to the NYC headquarters on a hybrid schedule
- Must have experience in hands-on software engineering on large-scale projects
- Proficiency in one or more functional programming languages such as Scala, Haskell, F# is a must
- Experience in production-based enterprise systems architecture and delivery
- Expertise in using all facets of Digital Asset products
- Extensive client interaction experience
- Ability to identify and define Daml solutions to solve real business problems involving multi-party workflows
- Proficiency in writing code in Daml and other languages such as Java, Scala, Haskell, F#, or Python
- Familiarity with devops, performance, and security testing
- Ability to lead technical aspects of client engagements and provide technical leadership to CX Engineer and partner resources
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Ability to work closely with internal product and engineering teams to provide feedback and assess new products and features for use in client engagements
