About The Position

Packanack Animal Hospital is seeking an experienced, full-time Client Care Coordinator for its practice in Wayne, New Jersey. The hospital has served local families and their pets since 2002 and is a fear-free certified, state-of-the-art practice with a four-doctor team. The Client Care Coordinator is the first and last point of contact for clients and patients and represents the practice to clients, the public, and the professional community. The role works closely with clinical staff to support patient care and communication in a kind, respectful environment focused on employee wellness and work/life balance.

Requirements

• At least one year of veterinary experience in a client-facing role is preferred; other client-facing experience will be considered.
• Highly developed written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Comfort working around animals, primarily cats and dogs.
• Ability to adapt and work effectively in a busy environment.
• Passion for animals.

• One year or more of veterinary experience in a client-facing role.

Responsibilities

• Welcome clients and patients warmly and professionally, answering questions clearly and with care.
• Collaborate with the veterinary team to support patient care and maintain smooth communication.
• Document client interactions and communications accurately.
• Keep shared spaces clean, organized, and inviting.
• Guide clients through intake and discharge.
• Complete administrative tasks efficiently and with attention to detail.
• Manage multiple phone lines and respond promptly and helpfully.
• Prepare and dispense medications under a doctor's direction.
• Oversee the appointment schedule.
• Process payments accurately and courteously.
