About The Position

The Lebanon County Area Agency on Aging (AAA) is looking for an enthusiastic bilingual Clerk Typist 1 who enjoys assisting people every day. This is an interactive role which allows you to greet visitors, guide callers, and help community members find the support they need. Your bilingual strengths will create comfort and clarity for individuals seeking assistance. This position supports the front office by helping visitors, callers, and program participants find the assistance they need.

Requirements

Possession of the required knowledges, skills, and abilities
Must be able to read, write, and speak in Spanish
Must pass a Spanish speaking proficiency evaluation
Proficiency in reading and writing in Spanish must be demonstrated during the probationary period
Must meet the PA residency requirement
Must be able to perform essential job functions
Conditional offer of employment will require submission of criminal history reports

Responsibilities

Converse with Spanish and English speaking individuals who call or visit the office
Greet visitors, answer calls, schedule appointments, and transfer calls to agency staff
Maintain and restock information and referral materials in the front lobby
Learn agency programs and understand state and federal eligibility rules
Provide information and make referrals for agency services and related resources
Maintain the sign in and sign out spreadsheet with all required details
Receive and process packages and mail from UPS, USPS, FedEx, and other carriers
