Requirements

• Four years of experience in public or private social work; and a Bachelor's Degree; or Any equivalent combination of experience and training including successful completion of 12 semester hours of college level courses in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, or other related social sciences.
• Meet the PA residency requirement.
• Able to perform essential job functions.
• Submission of criminal history reports (conditional offer of employment).

Responsibilities

• Oversee investigations, evaluations, and maintenance of protective service cases in compliance with laws and regulations
• Train workers on protective service rules and procedures and review performance to support improvement
• Monitor ongoing protective service cases and confirm accuracy of Reports of Need for adults of all ages
• Work with nursing homes, personal care homes, hospitals, law enforcement, and other entities to share information and support consumers
• Update protective service plans, monitor programs with the Pennsylvania Department of Aging, and implement corrective actions as needed
• Prepare on-call schedules, ensure coverage, and assist workers with on-call needs during non-working hours
