Requirements

  • One year as a Clerical Supervisor 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
  • One year as a Clerical Assistant 3 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
  • Two years as a Clerical Assistant 2 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training.
  • Meet the PA residency requirement.
  • Be able to perform essential job functions.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain knowledge of allowable birth amendments and manage exceptions based on laws and policies.
  • Supervise filing, scanning, review, and approvals within all phases of the birth amendment process.
  • Use expertise in the electronic birth registry system to review requirements, test enhancements, and report issues.
  • Conduct random checks, assess accuracy of work, and provide constructive feedback to staff.
  • Analyze documents for potential fraud and determine when cases require referral to the fraud coordinator.
  • Assign work, set priorities, train employees, evaluate performance, and monitor productivity.
