Requirements

  • Six months as a Clerical Assistant 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or Graduation from high school; or An equivalent combination of experience and training.
  • Meet the PA residency requirement.
  • Be able to perform essential job functions.
  • Pass a background investigation. A conditional offer of employment will require submission of criminal history reports.

  • Telework may be available part-time, requiring a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania.

Responsibilities

  • Input information into automated systems and ensure entries follow established rules
  • Receive, register, and route applications according to procedures
  • Interpret documents and record results to complete required clearances
  • Greet visitors, manage appointments, and provide basic information in a courteous manner
  • Sort, scan, and distribute incoming and outgoing mail and related materials
  • Maintain, organize, and retrieve case records in both paper and electronic formats
