Requirements

  • Six months as a Clerical Assistant 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or Graduation from high school; or An equivalent combination of experience and training.
  • Must possess keyboarding skills to meet standards for speed and accuracy.
  • Must understand how to efficiently use and navigate a PC.
  • Two (2) years or more of experience with the Microsoft systems (Word/Excel/Outlook, etc.) and other software packages to create and maintain spreadsheets/calendars/documents/rosters etc.
  • Must have the ability to work with various office equipment such as: scanner, printer, fax machine, computer, tablet, telephone, personal communication devices etc.
  • Previous experience working in an office setting as a clerk and/or personal assistant.
  • Previous experience with electronic communication tools/skills, such as video conferencing, and creating meetings in Microsoft Teams or Zoom.
  • Successful completion of basic training in Elizabethtown, PA is required.
  • Must be able to perform essential job functions.
  • Must pass a background investigation and meet Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Answer calls, direct inquiries, operate the switchboard, and handle mail processing.
  • Type and review correspondence, correct errors, and distribute completed documents.
  • Coordinate meetings, appointments, and videoconferences and prepare meeting minutes.
  • Maintain filing systems, update databases, and archive materials according to retention rules.
  • Compile activity records, enter data, track supplies, and provide general workflow support.
  • Perform copying, scanning, emailing, and basic office upkeep as assigned.
