About The Position

The Part Time Cleaning Associate is responsible for maintaining a clean and organized HomeGoods store, with a focus on floor care. The role includes operating floor-cleaning equipment and completing a range of cleaning tasks throughout the store. The associate also supports store operations by working in multiple areas as needed, assisting with customer experience, recovery, safety, and loss prevention standards.

Physical stamina to perform cleaning tasks and operate a floor buffer and scrubber.
Ability to multitask.

Ability to work effectively with peers and supervisors.

Responsibilities

Maintain floor-care cleanliness standards, including operating and maintaining the scrubber and buffer.
Dust mop, damp mop, sweep, vacuum, dust, and spot-clean glass and windows.
Maintain organizational, cleanliness, and recovery standards throughout the store, including the Sales Floor, Single Queue, Associate Lounge, Backroom, and Restrooms.
Follow company Health and Safety policies, including refilling essential items in the Lounge, Restrooms, and Front End.
Work in other store areas as needed, including the Backroom, Front End, and Sales Floor.
Support and respond to Front End coverage needs.
Follow merchandising philosophy and signage standards.
Initiate and participate in store recovery throughout the day as needed.
Follow operational and loss prevention controls, including shrink-reduction guidelines and policies.
Communicate accurately and effectively with management and Associates.
Follow labor laws and company policies and procedures, including meal and break period policies.
Participate in safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
Model established customer experience practices with internal and external customers.
Support a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect.
Perform other duties as assigned.
