About The Position

The Cleaning Associate is responsible for maintaining a clean and organized store, with a focus on floor care. The role includes operating floor-care equipment and completing cleaning tasks throughout the store, while adhering to operational, merchandising, health and safety, and loss prevention standards. The associate is cross-trained in multiple store areas to support business needs, including Front End coverage and store recovery. The role models positive customer experiences and contributes to a respectful, safe, and supportive store culture.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain the floor scrubber and buffer, and complete floor-care tasks such as dust mopping, damp mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, and spot cleaning glass and windows.
• Maintain cleanliness, organization, and recovery standards throughout the store, including the Sales Floor, Single Queue, Associate Lounge, Backroom, and Restrooms.
• Follow company health and safety policies, including refilling essential items in the Lounge, Restrooms, and Front End.
• Cross-train and work in other store areas, including the Backroom, Front End, and Sales Floor, to support business needs.
• Support and respond to Front End coverage needs.
• Follow merchandising philosophy and signage standards.
• Initiate and participate in store recovery as needed throughout the day.
• Follow operational and loss prevention controls and company guidelines, including shrink reduction.
• Communicate accurately and effectively with management and Associates.
• Follow labor laws and company policies and procedures, including meal and break period policies.
• Participate in safety awareness and help maintain a safe environment.
• Role-model established customer experience practices with internal and external customers.
• Support a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
