Part-Time Cleaning Associate
About The Position
The Cleaning Associate is responsible for maintaining a clean and organized store environment, with a focus on floor care. Duties include operating the floor scrubber and buffer; dust mopping, damp mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, and spot-cleaning glass and windows. The role maintains cleanliness, organization, and recovery standards throughout the store, including the Sales Floor, Single Queue, Associate Lounge, Backroom, and Restrooms, while following health and safety, operational, merchandising, and loss prevention policies. The associate models customer experience practices and contributes to a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect. The role is cross-trained in multiple store areas and supports Front End coverage and other business needs. Additional duties may be assigned.
Requirements
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule to support business needs.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Physical stamina to perform cleaning tasks and operate a floor buffer and scrubber.
- Ability to multitask and respond appropriately to changes in direction or unexpected situations.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, including listening and responding appropriately.
- Ability to lift heavy objects with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Ability to work effectively with peers and supervisors.
- Retail customer experience preferred.

Responsibilities
- Maintain floor-care cleanliness standards, including the maintenance and operation of the scrubber and buffer.
- Perform cleaning tasks such as dust mopping, damp mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, and spot-cleaning glass and windows.
- Maintain organizational, cleanliness, and recovery standards throughout the store, including the Sales Floor, Single Queue, Associate Lounge, Backroom, and Restrooms.
- Follow company health and safety policies, including refilling essential items in the Lounge, Restrooms, and Front End.
- Cross-train in other store areas, including the Backroom, Front End, and Sales Floor.
- Support and respond to Front End coverage needs.
- Follow merchandising philosophy and signage standards.
- Initiate and participate in store recovery as needed throughout the day.
- Follow operational and loss prevention controls and company policies, including shrink reduction.
- Communicate accurately and effectively with management and Associates.
- Follow labor laws and company policies and procedures, including meal and break period policies.
- Participate in safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
- Model established customer experience practices with internal and external customers and support a positive store culture.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
