About The Position

The Cleaning Associate is responsible for maintaining a clean and organized store environment, with a focus on floor care. Tasks include operating the scrubber and buffer; dust mopping, damp mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, and spot-cleaning glass and windows. The role also maintains cleanliness, organization, and recovery standards throughout the store, including the sales floor, queue, associate lounge, backroom, and restrooms.

The associate follows company operational, merchandising, loss-prevention, health, and safety standards; supports front-end coverage; and is cross-trained to work in multiple store areas as business needs require. The role models customer-experience practices and supports a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect. Additional duties may be assigned.

Requirements

• Physical stamina to perform cleaning tasks and operate a floor buffer and scrubber.

• Ability to work effectively with peers and supervisors.
• Retail customer experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain floor-care cleanliness standards, including operating and maintaining the scrubber and buffer.
• Clean floors and surfaces by dust mopping, damp mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, and spot-cleaning glass and windows.
• Maintain organizational, cleanliness, and recovery standards throughout the store, including the sales floor, single queue, associate lounge, backroom, and restrooms.
• Follow company health and safety policies, including refilling essential items in the lounge, restrooms, and front end.
• Cross-train in other store areas, such as the backroom, front end, and sales floor, and support front-end coverage needs.
• Model established customer-experience practices with internal and external customers.
• Support a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect.
• Follow merchandising philosophy and signage standards; participate in store recovery as needed.
• Follow operational and loss-prevention controls and company policies, including shrink-reduction practices.
• Communicate accurately and effectively with management and associates.
• Follow labor laws and company policies and procedures, including meal and break-period policies.
• Participate in safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
