About The Position

The Cleaning Associate is responsible for maintaining a clean and organized store environment, with an emphasis on floor care. The role operates floor-care equipment and performs routine cleaning tasks, while also supporting store operations through cross-training in multiple areas. The associate follows operational, merchandising, loss-prevention, labor, and safety standards and helps maintain a positive customer experience and store culture.

Responsibilities

• Operate scrubbers and buffers; dust mop, damp mop, sweep, vacuum, dust, and spot-clean glass and windows.
• Adhere to operational, merchandise, and loss-prevention standards.
• Work in multiple areas of the store as needed to support business needs.
• Model established customer-experience practices with internal and external customers.
• Support a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect.
• Uphold the merchandising philosophy and follow established merchandising procedures and standards.
• Initiate and participate in store recovery throughout the day as needed.
• Maintain organizational, cleanliness, and recovery standards for the sales floor and participate in maintaining and cleaning the entire store.
• Provide and accept recognition and constructive feedback.
• Follow labor laws, policies, and procedures.
• Support and participate in store shrink-reduction goals and programs.
• Participate in safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
