Cleaning Associate Part Time
About The Position
The Cleaning Associate is responsible for maintaining a clean and organized store environment, with a focus on floor care. The role includes operating floor-care equipment and performing general cleaning throughout the store. The associate also follows operational, merchandise, health and safety, and loss-prevention standards, and is cross-trained to support multiple store areas as business needs require. The role models customer-experience practices and contributes to a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect. It requires flexibility, strong organizational and communication skills, physical stamina, and the ability to respond to changing priorities. Retail customer experience is preferred.

- Physical stamina to perform cleaning tasks and operate a floor buffer and scrubber.

- Ability to work effectively with peers and supervisors.
- Retail customer experience preferred.

Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain the scrubber and buffer; dust mop, damp mop, sweep, vacuum, dust, and spot-clean glass and windows.
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and recovery standards throughout the store, including the sales floor, single queue, associate lounge, backroom, and restrooms.
- Follow company health and safety policies, including refilling essential items in the lounge, restrooms, and front end.
- Cross-train and work in other store areas, including the backroom, front end, and sales floor.
- Support and respond to front-end coverage needs.
- Follow merchandising philosophy and signage standards; participate in store recovery as needed.
- Follow operational and loss-prevention controls and company policies, including shrink-reduction guidelines.
- Communicate accurately and effectively with management and associates.
- Follow labor laws and company policies and procedures, including meal and break-period policies.
- Participate in safety awareness and help maintain a safe environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
