About The Position

The Cleaning Associate is responsible for maintaining a clean and organized store environment, with a focus on floor care. The role includes operating floor-cleaning equipment and performing routine cleaning throughout the store, while upholding company standards for customer experience, safety, organization, merchandising, and loss prevention. The associate is cross-trained in multiple store areas and supports business needs, including Front End coverage and store recovery.

Responsibilities

• Maintain floor-care cleanliness standards, including operating and maintaining the scrubber and buffer.
• Dust mop, damp mop, sweep, vacuum, dust, and spot-clean glass and windows.
• Maintain organization, cleanliness, and recovery standards throughout the Sales Floor, Single Queue, Associate Lounge, Backroom, and Restrooms.
• Refill essential items in the Lounge, Restrooms, and Front End in accordance with health and safety policies.
• Cross-train and work in other store areas, including the Backroom, Front End, and Sales Floor.
• Support and respond to Front End coverage needs.
• Role-model customer experience practices with internal and external customers.
• Support a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect.
• Uphold merchandising philosophy and signage standards.
• Initiate and participate in store recovery throughout the day as needed.
• Follow operational and loss-prevention controls and company guidelines, including shrink-reduction practices.
• Communicate accurately and effectively with management and Associates.
• Follow labor laws and company policies and procedures, including meal and break-period policies.
• Participate in safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
