About The Position

The Cleaning Associate is responsible for maintaining a clean and organized store environment, with a focus on floor care. Duties include operating floor scrubbers and buffers; dust mopping, damp mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, and spot-cleaning glass and windows. The associate upholds operational, merchandise, safety, and loss-prevention standards and is cross-trained in multiple store areas to support business needs. The role models established customer-experience practices and contributes to a positive store culture grounded in honesty, integrity, and respect. The associate maintains cleanliness, organization, and recovery standards throughout the store, including the sales floor, queue, associate lounge, backroom, and restrooms. The position also supports front-end coverage, store recovery, merchandising and signage standards, safety awareness, and effective communication with management and colleagues. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

Excellent customer service skills.
Able to work a flexible schedule to support business needs.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Physical stamina to perform cleaning tasks and operate a floor buffer and scrubber.
Ability to multitask.
Ability to respond appropriately to changes in direction or unexpected situations.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, including listening and responding appropriately.
Ability to lift heavy objects, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Ability to work effectively with peers and supervisors.

Responsibilities

Maintain floor-care cleanliness standards and operate and maintain floor scrubbers and buffers.
Clean floors and other areas by dust mopping, damp mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, and spot-cleaning glass and windows.
Maintain cleanliness, organization, and recovery standards throughout the store, including the sales floor, queue, associate lounge, backroom, and restrooms.
Follow company health and safety policies, including refilling essential items in the associate lounge, restrooms, and front end.
Cross-train in other store areas, such as the backroom, front end, and sales floor.
Support and respond to front-end coverage needs.
Uphold merchandising philosophy and signage standards.
Initiate and participate in store recovery as needed throughout the day.
Follow operational and loss-prevention controls and company guidelines, including shrink-reduction practices.
Communicate accurately and effectively with management and associates.
Follow labor laws and company policies and procedures, including meal and break-period policies.
Participate in safety awareness and help maintain a safe environment.
Model customer-experience practices and support a positive store culture.
Perform other duties as assigned.
