About The Position
The Cleaning Associate is responsible for maintaining a clean and organized store environment, with a focus on floor care. Duties include operating floor scrubbers and buffers; dust mopping, damp mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, and spot-cleaning glass and windows. The associate maintains cleanliness, organization, and recovery standards throughout the store, including the sales floor, queue, associate lounge, backroom, and restrooms. The role also adheres to operational, merchandising, health and safety, and loss prevention standards, and is cross-trained to support other store areas and business needs. The associate models customer service practices and contributes to a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect. The position requires communication with management and associates, participation in store recovery and safety awareness, and compliance with company policies and labor requirements. Other duties may be assigned.
Requirements

- Physical stamina to perform cleaning tasks and operate a floor buffer and scrubber.
- Ability to multitask.

- Retail customer experience preferred.

Responsibilities
- Maintain floor-care cleanliness standards and operate and maintain the scrubber and buffer.
- Maintain organizational, cleanliness, and recovery standards throughout the store, including the sales floor, single queue, associate lounge, backroom, and restrooms.
- Perform dust mopping, damp mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, and spot cleaning of glass and windows.
- Follow company health and safety policies, including replenishing essential items in the lounge, restrooms, and front end.
- Cross-train in other store areas, including the backroom, front end, and sales floor.
- Support and respond to front-end coverage needs.
- Follow merchandising philosophy and signage standards.
- Initiate and participate in store recovery as needed throughout the day.
- Follow operational and loss-prevention controls and company guidelines, including shrink-reduction practices.
- Communicate accurately and effectively with management and associates.
- Follow labor laws and company policies and procedures, including meal and break-period policies.
- Participate in safety awareness and help maintain a safe environment.
- Model established customer experience practices and support a positive store culture.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
