About The Position

The Cleaner works under the supervision of the Custodial Manager or Supervisor and performs a variety of custodial duties for C&W Services in accordance with established standards, instructions, and procedures. Duties include cleaning floors, rugs, furniture, fixtures, glass, walls, and bathrooms; replenishing bathroom supplies; collecting and disposing of trash; and reporting defects to supervisors. The role also includes seasonal snow removal at building entrances and walkways, periodic high dusting and polishing, and other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• No previous experience is required for basic cleaning responsibilities.
• Ability to take direction, work with minimal supervision, and cooperate as part of a team.
• Ability to use cleaning tools and equipment, including a portable backpack-style vacuum cleaner.
• Attention to detail, pride in delivering excellent service, organization, and high levels of energy and endurance.

Responsibilities

• Sweep, mop, wash, and scrub floors and other interior surfaces.
• Operate light and heavy commercial floor buffers and shampoo machines with attachments.
• Vacuum rugs in offices and public areas; spot-clean rugs daily and shampoo them when directed.
• Clean and dust furniture, exhibit cases, pictures, chairs, door trim, light fixtures, and other horizontal surfaces, including periodic high dusting.
• Wash windowsills and glass in interior doors, partitions, and specified windows; wash glass and trim at entrance doors, both interior and exterior.
• Spot-clean interior walls daily as appropriate.
• Clean bathrooms daily, restock paper supplies, and service soap and toilet paper dispensers.
• Monitor for defects such as clogged urinals or lights that are out and report them to supervisors.
• Collect building trash daily, place it in approved containers in designated collection areas, and replace wastebasket and trash-container liners according to specifications.
• Sweep or shovel snow from steps, building entrances, and connecting walkways or sidewalks as directed.
• Perform periodic high dusting, leather and wood surface care, polishing, and wall washing.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Competitive pay; compensation for this position is $12.75–$15.00, subject to eligibility factors and applicable terms.
