About The Position

The Cleaner works under the supervision of the Custodial Manager or Supervisor and performs a variety of custodial duties for C&W Services according to established standards, instructions, and procedures. The role includes interior cleaning and may involve exterior cleaning, basic maintenance, seasonal tasks, and other duties based on building, facility, and client needs. The Cleaner is expected to use cleaning equipment, tools, and chemical agents safely, follow work orders and safety procedures, and promptly report emergencies, repairs, and observable safety concerns to management. The position operates in a professional office environment and may require travel between properties and buildings in varying weather conditions. Compensation is $13.60–$16.00, subject to applicable eligibility and other factors.

Requirements

High school diploma, GED, or education from a trade, technical, or vocational school.
Some related experience.
Knowledge of the safe use of cleaning agents and equipment used to perform job duties.
Willingness to work evenings or weekends on call in case of an emergency.
Reliable, thorough, observant, organized, flexible, and courteous.
Effective listening skills and ability to work as part of a team.
Ability to exert up to 25 pounds occasionally, frequently, and/or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or move objects.
Ability to travel between floors and buildings, climb stairs, and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Responsibilities

Clean building interiors daily, including emptying waste receptacles, removing debris and trash, vacuuming or shampooing floors and carpets, dusting and cleaning furniture, cleaning and restocking restrooms, washing walls, polishing and mopping floors, placing mats or runners during inclement weather, cleaning spills, and cleaning windows and window coverings.
As directed, clean exterior buildings and premises, including walls and windows, parking lots and structures, walkways and paths, gardens and lawns, outdoor furnishings, pools, fountains, spas, curbs, gutters, exterior hallways, and stairwells.
As directed, assist with minor maintenance and repairs, including painting, replacing light bulbs and fixtures, replacing windows, moving furniture and equipment, repairing doors and gates, minor landscaping, and simple plumbing and fixture repairs or replacements.
Perform other assigned duties based on building, facility, and client needs, which may include gardening and lawn care, inventory control and supply ordering, snow removal including salting or sanding, and assisting with tenant moves.
Promptly notify management of spills, emergencies, repair needs, broken or damaged equipment and structures, plumbing issues, heating, cooling or ventilation problems, and other observable safety concerns.
Safely use and operate cleaning agents, equipment, tools, and devices, including mops, vacuums, electric polishing machines, power tools, and special cleaning solutions.
Follow safety protocols and procedures, carry out work orders, and understand written or verbal instructions from the designated supervisor.
