About The Position

The Cleaner works under the supervision of the Custodial Manager or Supervisor and performs a variety of custodial duties for C&W Services in accordance with established standards, instructions, and procedures. The role involves routine and periodic cleaning of interior spaces, bathrooms, furniture, floors, glass, and other surfaces; handling waste; replenishing bathroom supplies; and reporting building defects to supervisors. The position is part-time and listed as a third-shift role.

Requirements

• No previous experience is required for basic cleaning responsibilities.
• Ability to take direction, work with minimal supervision, and function cooperatively as part of a team.
• Ability to use cleaning tools and equipment, including a portable backpack-style vacuum cleaner.
• Attention to detail, pride in delivering excellent service, organization, and high levels of energy and endurance.

Responsibilities

• Sweep, mop, and wash floors and other interior surfaces.
• Operate commercial floor buffers and shampoo machines, including their attachments.
• Vacuum rugs in offices and public areas; spot-clean them daily and shampoo them when directed.
• Clean and dust furniture, exhibit cases, pictures, chairs, door trim, light fixtures, horizontal surfaces, and high areas periodically.
• Wash windowsills, interior-door and partition glass, and specified windows; wash glass and trim at entrance doors, both inside and outside.
• Wash or spot-clean interior walls as appropriate each day.
• Clean bathrooms and restock paper supplies daily, including cleaning surfaces and fixtures, emptying waste baskets, servicing soap and toilet-paper dispensers, and sweeping, mopping, or scrubbing floors.
• Monitor for defects such as clogged urinals or lights that are out and report them to supervisors.
• Collect building trash daily, place it in approved containers and designated collection areas, and replace liners according to specifications.
• Sweep or shovel snow from steps, building entrances, and connecting walkways or sidewalks as directed.
• Perform periodic high dusting, leather and wood surface care, polishing, and wall washing.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
