3rd Shift Cleaner
About The Position
Allegiance Industries is hiring a Cleaner for a manufacturing facility in Grand Island, New York. The schedule is Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Sunday from 10:00 PM to 6:30 AM. The pay rate is $17.00 per hour, paid weekly. The job site is not on the bus line, and reliable transportation is required. The Cleaner maintains building cleanliness by sweeping, vacuuming, and mopping floors and cleaning other surfaces; gathering and emptying trash; and supplying, cleaning, and servicing restrooms. Floor work may also be required, such as steam-cleaning carpets, applying wax, or buffing floors. Other duties may be assigned. A $300 signing bonus is available, paid in installments of $100 after 30, 60, and 90 days of employment. Requirements
- At least 1 year of janitorial experience.
- Physical stamina and dexterity.
- Ability to detect safety hazards and communicate them to appropriate staff.
- Reliable transportation.
- Ability to follow schedules and keep commitments.
- Ability to follow directions from a supervisor.
- Ability to demonstrate professionalism.
Responsibilities
- Clean buildings by sweeping, vacuuming, and mopping floors and cleaning other surfaces.
- Gather and empty trash.
- Supply, clean, and service restrooms.
- Perform applicable floor work, such as steam-cleaning carpets, applying wax, and buffing.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
