Cleaner - Industrial Cleaner - 3Rd Shift
About The Position
The Industrial Cleaner is responsible for maintaining the shipyard’s cleanliness through trash and debris removal, tank and confined-space cleaning, pressure washing components, and landside spill response. The role performs general labor duties with the industrial cleaning team, including hooking up and breaking down equipment using proper tools and procedures, and cleaning the work area and equipment after assignments are complete. Work must be conducted professionally and safely, in compliance with federal, state, and company regulations, and to company quality standards. The position requires working outside in all types of weather, extensive walking, and working at extreme heights or in small confined spaces. Candidates must be able to maneuver steps and ladders, climb, perform a physical agility test, lift at least 40 pounds, and pass a respirator fit test. The employee must be able to work the assigned shift as production needs require.
Requirements
- Able to lift at least 40 pounds.
- Able to work at extreme heights or in small confined spaces.
- Able to kneel, squat, crawl, bend, stoop, and climb.
- Able to work outside in all types of weather and perform extensive walking.
- Able to maneuver steps and ladders.
- Must take and pass a respirator fit test.
- Must pass a Physical Agility Test.
- Must be able to work the assigned shift as production needs require.
- U.S. citizenship is required for this position.
Nice To Haves
- High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
- Forklift, uni-loader/bobcat, and/or other mobile equipment experience preferred.
