About The Position

The Cleaner works under the supervision of the Custodial Manager or Supervisor and performs custodial duties for C&W Services according to established standards, instructions, and procedures. The role includes routine cleaning and upkeep of building interiors, bathrooms, entrances, and designated walkways, along with periodic specialized cleaning and other assigned duties.

Requirements

• No previous experience is required for basic cleaning responsibilities.
• Ability to take direction, work with minimal supervision, and cooperate as part of a team.
• Ability to use cleaning tools and equipment, including a portable backpack-style vacuum cleaner.
• Attention to detail, pride in delivering excellent service, organization, and high energy and endurance.

Responsibilities

• Sweep, mop, and wash floors and other interior surfaces.
• Operate commercial floor buffers and shampoo machines, including their attachments.
• Vacuum rugs in offices and public areas; spot-clean rugs daily and shampoo them when directed.
• Clean and dust furniture, exhibit cases, pictures, chairs, door trim, light fixtures, horizontal surfaces, and periodically high surfaces.
• Wash windowsills and glass in interior doors, partitions, and specified windows; wash glass and trim at entrance doors, inside and outside.
• Wash or spot-clean interior walls as appropriate.
• Clean bathrooms daily, including wiping glass, emptying waste baskets, servicing soap and toilet-paper dispensers, dusting sills, cleaning tile walls, shelves and stall partitions, and sweeping, mopping, or scrubbing floors.
• Restock bathroom paper supplies daily.
• Monitor for defects such as clogged urinals and lights that are out, and report them to supervisors.
• Collect building trash daily, place it in approved containers, and move it to the designated collection area; replace liners according to specifications.
• Sweep or shovel snow from steps, building entrances, and connecting walkways or sidewalks as directed.
• Perform periodic high dusting, leather and wood surface care, polishing, and wall washing.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
