About The Position

The Cleaner works under the supervision of the Custodial Manager or Supervisor and performs custodial duties for C&W Services according to established standards, instructions, and procedures. The role includes routine cleaning and maintenance of floors, carpets, furniture, fixtures, windows, walls, bathrooms, and waste areas, as well as periodic specialized cleaning and other assigned duties.

Requirements

• No previous experience is required for basic cleaning responsibilities.
• Must be able to take direction, work with minimal supervision, and cooperate as part of a team.
• Ability to use cleaning tools and equipment, including a backpack-style portable vacuum cleaner.
• Requires attention to detail, pride in delivering excellent service, organization, and high levels of energy and endurance.

Responsibilities

• Sweep, mop, and wash floors and other interior surfaces.
• Operate commercial floor buffers and shampoo machines with attachments.
• Vacuum rugs in offices and public areas; spot-clean rugs daily and shampoo them when directed.
• Clean and dust furniture, exhibit cases, pictures, chairs, door trim, light fixtures, horizontal surfaces, and other items, including periodic high dusting.
• Wash windowsills and glass in interior doors, partitions, and specified windows; clean glass and trim at entrance doors, both interior and exterior.
• Wash or spot-clean interior walls as appropriate.
• Clean bathrooms daily and restock paper supplies; damp-wipe glass, empty waste baskets, service soap and toilet paper dispensers, dust sills, clean tile walls, shelves and stall partitions, and sweep, mop, or scrub floors.
• Monitor and report defects such as clogged urinals and lights that are out to supervisors.
• Collect building trash daily, place it in approved containers, and move it to designated collection areas; replace wastebasket and trash-container liners according to specifications.
• Sweep or shovel snow from steps, entrances, connecting walkways, and sidewalks as directed.
• Perform periodic high dusting, leather and wood surface care, polishing, and wall washing.
• Perform any other duties as assigned.

• Competitive pay; compensation for this position is $12.75–$15.00, subject to eligibility and other stated factors.
