About The Position
Crossroads Youth & Family Services, Inc. is seeking a Classroom Support employee at its Prague Early Head Start location in Lincoln County. The role helps create and manage an attractive, warm, and challenging learning environment for infants, toddlers, and children. It incorporates developmentally appropriate early intervention, learning, and care activities that meet the needs of groups as well as individual children and families. The position may also involve other reasonable duties assigned by management, and its duties and responsibilities may be revised as needed in accordance with Head Start/Early Head Start policies and procedures.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver's license and acceptable liability insurance, which must be maintained.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Organizational, problem-solving, interpersonal, and analytical skills.
- Knowledge of community resources, health and safety practices, age-appropriate education services, and ways to facilitate family involvement in program services.
- Must pass a pre-employment physical, drug screen, and tuberculosis test.
- Must pass an Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation background check.
- Must be found by a qualified physician and/or psychologist to be free of physical, mental, or emotional conditions that might affect the ability to perform essential job functions, with or without accommodation.
- Ability to perform physical activities that may include prolonged sitting, standing, walking, reaching, twisting, turning, kneeling, bending, squatting, and stooping, and lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling up to 50 pounds.
