About The Position

Contract Lumber is hiring Class B CDL Drivers in Whiteville, North Carolina. Class A drivers are also welcome to apply. The position involves local deliveries, and drivers are home every night. The schedule is Monday through Friday on a flexible first shift, with 40 hours per week and the ability to work overtime when needed. Pay is based on experience.

Drivers load, secure, and deliver materials; inspect delivery vehicles according to DOT requirements; maintain required paperwork; verify load accuracy; and ensure loads are safely secured before leaving the yard or job site. Clear and effective communication with employees, management, and customers is expected. The company describes the opportunity as a creative, team-oriented role in the lumber and building industry.

Requirements

• Class B CDL license at minimum; Class A drivers are also welcome to apply.
• Driving record must meet current DOT regulations.
• Ability to lift up to 80 pounds.
• Hardworking, responsible, and motivated.
• Great attitude and ability to work as a team player.

Nice To Haves

• Ability to learn to operate a Piggyback or Princeton forklift.
