About The Position

Contract Lumber is hiring a CDL-A Truck Driver in Blackstone, Virginia. This role makes local deliveries, and drivers are home every night. Recent graduates are welcome. The schedule is Monday through Friday on a flexible first shift, for 40 hours per week, with the ability to work overtime when needed. Pay is $24–$27 per hour, based on experience.

The driver loads, secures, and delivers materials; inspects delivery vehicles according to DOT requirements; maintains required paperwork; checks loads for accuracy; and ensures loads are safely secured before departing the yard or job site. The role also involves communicating clearly with employees, management, and customers. A CDL-A license and a driving record that meets current DOT regulations are required. The driver must be able to learn to use a Piggyback or Princeton forklift and lift up to 80 pounds.

Requirements
