About The Position

Contract Lumber is hiring a Saw Operator in Flowery Branch, Georgia. The role processes materials through an EWP saw and supports preparation of materials for transport and job staging. Employees help maintain a clean and safe work environment and identify equipment maintenance needs. The position is Monday through Friday on a flexible first shift, with a 40-hour workweek and the ability to work overtime when needed. Pay is up to $22 per hour, based on experience.

Requirements

• Be willing to comply with and maintain all safety training and policies.
• Accept direction and be manageable.
• Continuously handle an average of 55 pounds at a time.
• Repeatedly bend, stoop, turn, stretch, push, and/or pull materials such as I-joist, LVL, and LSL beams.
• Remain on your feet for long periods.
• Satisfactorily complete Contract Lumber’s forklift certification program.
• Tolerate working environments in extreme temperatures.
• Read a tape measure and complete basic math problems.
• Communicate well with others.
• Be hardworking, motivated, and responsible.

Responsibilities

• Safely process materials through an EWP saw.
• Assist with building loads for transport.
• Place materials in the job staging area.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Identify needed maintenance on equipment.
• Perform other duties as required by management.
