About The Position

Contract Lumber is hiring a Class A CDL Truck Driver in Hillsboro, Alabama. This role involves local deliveries, and drivers are home every night. The schedule is Monday through Friday on a flexible first shift, for 40 hours per week, with the ability to work overtime when needed. Recent graduates are welcome. Pay is $26–$28 per hour, based on experience.

The driver loads, secures, and delivers materials; inspects delivery vehicles in accordance with DOT requirements; maintains required paperwork; checks loads for accuracy; and ensures loads are safely secured before leaving the yard or a job site. The role requires clear communication with employees, management, and customers. Contract Lumber describes the opportunity as a creative, team-oriented workplace in the lumber and building industry.

The position requires a CDL-A license, a driving record that meets current DOT regulations, and the ability to lift up to 80 pounds. Drivers should be hardworking, responsible, motivated, have a good attitude, and be team players. The ability to learn to operate a Piggyback or Princeton forklift is required.
