About The Position

Contract Lumber is hiring a CDL-A Truck Driver for local runs from its Blackstone, Virginia location. Drivers are home every night. The role offers a Monday through Friday, first-shift schedule with flexible hours, approximately 40 hours per week, and the ability to work overtime when needed. Recent graduates are welcome. Pay is $24–$27 per hour, based on experience.

Drivers load, secure, and deliver materials; inspect delivery vehicles in accordance with DOT requirements; maintain required paperwork; verify load accuracy; and ensure loads are safely secured before leaving the yard or a job site. The role also requires clear and effective communication with employees, management, and customers. Requirements

• CDL-A license.
• Driving record must meet current DOT regulations.
• Ability to lift up to 80 pounds.
• Great attitude and a team-player approach.
• Hardworking, responsible, and motivated.

• Ability to learn to operate a Piggyback or Princeton forklift.
