About The Position

Contract Lumber is hiring a CDL-A Truck Driver for local runs in Blackstone, Virginia. Drivers are home every night. The role offers a Monday–Friday, first-shift schedule with flexible hours, 40 hours per week, and the ability to work overtime when needed. Recent graduates are welcome. Pay is $24–$27 per hour, based on experience.

The driver loads, secures, and delivers material; inspects delivery vehicles in accordance with DOT requirements; maintains required paperwork; and verifies load accuracy and safe securement before leaving the yard or a job site. The role also involves clear communication with employees, management, and customers. Drivers may need to learn to operate a Piggyback or Princeton forklift and must be able to lift up to 80 pounds.

Requirements

• Hold a CDL A license.
• Have a driving record that meets current DOT regulations.
