About The Position

Contract Lumber is hiring a CDL-A Truck Driver for local runs based in Blackstone, Virginia. Drivers are home every night. The role offers a Monday–Friday, first-shift schedule with flexible hours, 40 hours per week, and the ability to work overtime when needed. Pay is $24–$27 per hour, based on experience. Recent graduates are welcome.

The driver loads, secures, and delivers materials; inspects delivery vehicles in accordance with DOT requirements; maintains required paperwork; and verifies load accuracy and securement before leaving the yard or a job site. The role requires clear communication with employees, management, and customers, as well as the ability to learn to operate a piggyback or Princeton forklift. Requirements

• Hold a CDL-A license.
• Have a driving record that meets current DOT regulations.
• Have the ability to learn to operate a piggyback or Princeton forklift.
• Be able to lift up to 80 pounds.
• Have a great attitude and be a team player.
• Be hardworking, responsible, and motivated.
