About The Position

Bunzl is seeking a Class A Driver to safely operate a tractor-trailer or other commercial vehicles and deliver goods to customer locations. Drivers are described as ambassadors for the company and key customer contacts. The position has a 4 a.m. start time, pays $30 per hour, and is paid weekly. The schedule is Monday through Friday, and overtime is paid after 40 hours per week. The posting advertises a $1,500 sign-on bonus and accepts ongoing applications.

Requirements

• Valid Class A CDL.
• Clean driving record based on Bunzl's fleet safety standards.
• Ability to operate and navigate a variety of commercial vehicles.
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and handle loading and unloading responsibilities.
• Strong understanding of safety regulations and best driving practices.
• Excellent communication and time-management skills.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug tests, and maintain an active medical card.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations and ELD compliance.

Nice To Haves

• At least 2 years of driving experience.
• Experience with GPS and routing software.
• Hazmat endorsement.

Responsibilities

• Safely drive and operate a Class A tractor-trailer or other commercial vehicles.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Deliver goods safely and on time to local and long-distance customer locations.
• Follow traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies.
• Maintain a clean driving record and submit logs and paperwork on time.
• Load and unload cargo and ensure items are safely secured.
• Provide excellent customer service during deliveries.
• Maintain the vehicle properly and report issues to management immediately.
