About The Position

Bunzl is hiring a Class A CDL Driver to safely deliver goods to customer locations and provide excellent customer service. Drivers are considered ambassadors for the company and key points of contact with customers. The role involves driving a Class A tractor-trailer or other commercial vehicles, performing vehicle inspections, managing cargo, complying with safety and transportation rules, maintaining vehicle condition, and completing logs and paperwork. The schedule is Monday through Friday, with occasional overnight trips; hotel stays and a $50 per diem for each day on the road are provided. The listed pay rate is $32.21 per hour, and the position offers a $1,500 sign-on bonus. Requirements

Valid Class A CDL.
Clean driving record based on the company’s fleet safety standards.
Ability to operate and navigate a variety of commercial vehicles.
Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and handle loading and unloading.
Strong understanding of safety regulations and best driving practices.
Excellent communication and time-management skills.
Ability to pass background checks and drug tests.
Ability to maintain an active medical card.
Knowledge of DOT regulations and ELD compliance.

Nice To Haves

At least 2 years of driving experience.
Experience with GPS and routing software.

Responsibilities

Safely drive and operate a Class A tractor-trailer or other commercial vehicles.
Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
Deliver goods safely and on time to local and long-distance customer locations.
Follow traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies.
Maintain a clean driving record and submit logs and paperwork on time.
Manage cargo loading and unloading, ensuring items are secured safely.
Provide excellent customer service during deliveries.
Maintain the vehicle appropriately and promptly report issues to management.
