About The Position

Bunzl is seeking a Class A CDL Driver to safely operate a tractor-trailer or other commercial vehicle and deliver goods to customer locations. The role involves local and long-distance deliveries, with occasional overnight stays in hotels. Drivers are expected to provide excellent customer service and act as a key point of contact with customers. The position pays $32.21 per hour and includes a $1,500 sign-on bonus. Overnight travel includes a hotel stay and $50 per diem for each day on the road.

The driver is responsible for inspecting and maintaining the vehicle, securing and handling cargo, complying with traffic laws, safety regulations, company policies, and DOT requirements, and submitting logs and paperwork on time. Requirements

• Valid Class A CDL.
• A clean driving record that meets fleet safety standards.
• Ability to operate and navigate a variety of commercial vehicles.
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and handle loading and unloading responsibilities.
• Strong understanding of safety regulations and best driving practices.
• Excellent communication and time-management skills.
• Ability to pass background checks and drug tests, and maintain an active medical card.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations and ELD compliance.

Nice To Haves

• At least 2 years of driving experience.
• Experience with GPS and routing software.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service during deliveries.
