About The Position

Bunzl is hiring a Class A CDL Driver to safely operate a Class A tractor-trailer or other commercial vehicles and deliver goods to customer locations. The role involves local and long-distance deliveries, vehicle inspections and maintenance reporting, cargo handling, accurate logs and paperwork, and providing excellent customer service. The schedule is Monday through Friday with a 3 a.m. start time. Pay is $27.50 per hour, paid weekly, with a $1,500 sign-on bonus.

Requirements

• Valid Class A CDL.
• A clean driving record based on Bunzl's fleet safety standards.
• Ability to operate and navigate a variety of commercial vehicles.
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and handle loading and unloading responsibilities.
• Strong understanding of safety regulations and best driving practices.
• Excellent communication and time-management skills.
• Ability to pass background checks and drug tests, and maintain an active medical card.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations and ELD compliance.

Nice To Haves

• At least 2 years of driving experience.
• Experience with GPS and routing software.

Responsibilities

• Safely drive and operate a Class A tractor-trailer or other commercial vehicles.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Deliver goods to customer locations in a timely and safe manner, locally and long-distance.
• Follow traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies.
• Maintain a clean driving record and submit logs and paperwork on time.
• Manage cargo loading and unloading, ensuring items are safely secured.
• Provide excellent customer service during deliveries.
• Maintain the vehicle properly and report any issues to management immediately.
