About The Position

Bunzl is hiring a Class A Driver to safely operate a Class A tractor-trailer or other commercial vehicles and deliver goods to customer locations. Drivers are company ambassadors and key customer contacts. The role starts at 4 a.m. and pays $30 per hour, with weekly pay and overtime after 40 hours per week. The position involves local and long-distance deliveries, vehicle inspections and maintenance reporting, cargo loading and unloading, and delivery-related records and paperwork. Requirements

• Valid Class A CDL.
• Clean driving record based on Bunzl’s fleet safety standards.
• Ability to operate and navigate a variety of commercial vehicles.
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and handle loading and unloading responsibilities.
• Strong understanding of safety regulations and best driving practices.
• Excellent communication and time-management skills.
• Ability to pass background checks and drug tests and maintain an active medical card.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations and ELD compliance.

Nice To Haves

• At least 2 years of driving experience.
• Experience with GPS and routing software.
• Hazmat endorsement.

Responsibilities

• Safely drive and operate a Class A tractor-trailer or other commercial vehicles.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Deliver goods to customer locations in a timely and safe manner, both locally and over long distances.
• Follow traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies.
• Maintain a clean driving record and submit logs and paperwork on time.
• Load and unload cargo and ensure items are secured safely.
• Provide excellent customer service during deliveries.
• Ensure the vehicle is properly maintained and immediately report issues to management.
